Borrowing Procedures

To request a gaming kit, please use the online Request Form

If you need to see the complete kit description, see the Kits. If you want to check if the particular kit you want to borrow will be available when you want it, please check the calendar.

When filling out the online request form, if you make a mistake, just start over.

Gaming Kits can be borrowed for 7 days. Longer periods will be arranged when possible and as far in advance as possible.

Gaming Kits go out 1 at a time. However, we will try our best to accommodate your situation, so please be sure to ask!

Pick-up and return of Gaming Kits will be arranged depending on location. Sometimes it may be possible for a library to pick-up a kit directly from another library. Other times, it may be necessary for the library to pick-up and/or return the kit at the CJRLC office. If anyone from the office is going to be in your area, they may drop off or pick up the kit. For some of the smaller kits (such as the Ninteno Wii's), IN THE FUTURE, it may be possible to use CD&L delivery - as long as the packaging is done properly and disguises the fact that it is video games and a console.

Each kit comes with an inventory sheet. There is an "IN" sheet and an "OUT" sheet. When you receive the kit, please fill in the "IN" sheet, making sure that everything is with the kit that is supposed to be there. If there is any problem, please contact the office (732-409-6484) as soon as possible. PLEASE FAX THE "IN" SHEET TO THE OFFICE ASAP.

When you are returning the kit, fill in the "OUT" sheet, confirming that you have packed up all the items that belong with the kit. PLEASE RETURN THIS SHEET IN THE KIT TO THE OFFICE.

Each kit comes with an evaluation sheet. Please be sure to fill in the evaluation form so we can get your feedback. You can return the sheet in the kit, or FAX IT TO THE OFFICE.
